Yes Mama Birth Workshop

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

By booking a place in the Yes Mama Birth Workshop you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before completing your booking. If anything is unclear, get in touch before you book — once payment is made, these terms apply.

Payments, Reschedules and Cancellations

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the workshop date.

Full refunds will not be given for “change of mind”. In the event of a change of mind at any time after booking, you will receive 50% of full balance and if cancelled within 14 days of the workshop, the full class balance will still be payable.

If you need to cancel due to the early birth of your baby, a certificate from your healthcare provider is required and you will be refunded the balance. In the case of pregnancy loss or stillbirth, your deposit and balance will be refunded in full upon sighting of a medical certificate.

If you need to reschedule your booking to a future workshop date, one reschedule is permitted at no charge, subject to availability.

In the event that you or your support person tests positive to COVID-19 (or any other contagious illness) within 7 days of the workshop and are symptomatic, you will be required to reschedule or cancel. As this is outside of the control of Yes Mama Birth Co, a refund will not be given and you will be offered suitable reschedule dates. If a suitable reschedule date cannot be agreed upon, a refund of the balance will be given upon sighting of a medical certificate or positive test result.

In the event that the workshop needs to be rescheduled or cancelled by Yes Mama Birth Co, an alternative suitable class date will be arranged for you. If a new date cannot be agreed upon, a full refund will be provided.

All payments are processed in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST where applicable.

Private Health Rebate

The Yes Mama Birth Workshop is taught by a registered midwife who is not currently endorsed. As such, the workshop is not eligible for a private health insurance rebate at this time.

You will receive a receipt and certificate of attendance following the workshop. You are welcome to submit this to your private health fund or employer for consideration; however, no rebate or reimbursement is guaranteed, and it is your responsibility to confirm eligibility with your provider.

Transfer of Booking

Your booking is personal to you and your nominated support person. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your booking to another person (subject to their suitability for the workshop content) by giving at least 7 days’ notice. Transfers within 7 days of the workshop are at the discretion of Yes Mama Birth Co.

Workshop Conduct

The Yes Mama Birth Workshop is a small-group setting that relies on mutual respect, confidentiality, and a safe space for all participants. By attending, you agree to:

  • Treat all participants, facilitators, and venue staff with respect
  • Maintain the confidentiality of any personal information shared by other participants during the workshop
  • Arrive on time and remain for the full duration where possible
  • Not record audio, video, or photograph other participants without their consent

Yes Mama Birth Co reserves the right to ask a participant to leave the workshop without refund if their behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful, or compromises the safety or wellbeing of others.

Intellectual Property

All workshop materials, including (but not limited to) the workbook, handouts, slides, take-home cards, templates, and any digital resources provided, are the intellectual property of Yes Mama Birth Co.

These materials are provided for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, republish, or use them for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
